<image:title>Women Artists Coloring Pages - Researched by women art historians</image:title>
<image:caption>All of our research for “brief histories” and Women’s Art Wednesday posts are done by female art historians at a bachelor’s degree level or higher in art history. So you know the information you’re getting is credible (and cited!) We do our best to compile the best information on an artist, and use our backgrounds in art history to contextualize the importance of the work. We know that learning is always more interesting when its fun, so we strive to make our brief histories as engaging as they are informative, so you just might have a few laughs along the way. Most of these artists and topics we could talk about all day, but we really do strive to keep things brief. If you want to learn more about an artist or their work, though, we’ll always add some links to good, reliable resources for further reading.</image:caption>

<image:title>Women Artists Coloring Pages - made about women artists, by women artists</image:title>
<image:caption>Our coloring sheets are a product of the wholistic view we believe is necessary to support women in art. We want to highlight women artists past and support women artists present, as such, all of our coloring sheets are made by contracted women artists hired by WAW. <image:title>Partnerships & Projects - The National museum of women in the arts</image:title>
<image:caption>In 2016, it was the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. (USA) who asked their audience, “can you name 5 women artists?” This question — and the fact that most people could not answer it — was one of the primary inspirations for starting Women’s Art Wednesday. Women’s Art Wednesday partnered with the NMWA in March 2020 to participate in the official #Name5WomenArtists campaign, and conducted a feature series highlighting a different woman artist or art historian, in her own words, every day in the month of March. You can see these features and read about what these women had to say about their work, on our website and social media pages. Also, keep an eye on the NMWA Instagram page in the coming weeks… Women’s Art Wednesday will be hosting an Instagram Takeover on the NMWA Instagram page in July.</image:caption>

<image:caption>In 2019 Women’s Art Wednesday representatives partnered with a jeweler, Afi, recently relocated to the United States from Benin. WAW members helped Afi establish her business, launch e-commerce platforms, and participate in local art sales to kick-off her business as a handmade jewelry maker. These GORGEOUS pieces can be found on her social media pages @afisjewelry, and on Etsy at Afi’s Jewelry.</image:caption>
