(USA) who asked their audience, “can you name 5 women artists?” This question — and the fact that most people could not answer it — was one of the primary inspirations for starting Women’s Art Wednesday. Women’s Art Wednesday partnered with the NMWA in March 2020 to participate in the official #Name5WomenArtists campaign, and conducted a feature series highlighting a different woman artist or art historian, in her own words, every day in the month of March.
